The Postcards for Mom Pranksters

We had a small birthday party tonight for my brother Dale. My mom pulled out her finished top part of the quilt(she finished the top part!!) and showed us how it looked. My sister in law asked where she got the pieces to make it, so mom explained all the postcards and mail she got. She said she got letters for about 3 months, and someone mentioned she was making a quilt so she started getting material pieces. And she got crosswords, and purple things, and hummingbird things! She had people from all over the country, even England, and Alaska. She pulled out the box of mail and showed Dale and his wife. It was great to see he rtalking about it. She said she even got a letter explaining it was time to "pass it on" and she'd written to the new guy, but never heard back. I htink she'd like to be included in whatever happens next.
Also, her birthday is October 19. And the first anniversary of Gram passing away is Novermber 1. I know it's going to be tough on her. If any of you still have her address and remember, it'd be nice if you could send something to cheer her up between her birthday and Nov 1 or so.
