Postcard Project Update - Friday, March 05, 2004
Lots of visitors coming from the Glamour Bomb community. Welcome!
What's a Glamour Bomb? And if you drop a glamourbomb on a guy, does he turn gay?
Catharine in Colorado asks: Does your Mom ever write back?
My brother and I had this conversation last week with another person. Mom has yet to write back to anyone (to my knowledge) but I wouldn't put it past her... Most people don't put a return address, but they ask Mom to write back hahahha
I have a ton of referrers come to one of my other websites from here since it's link'd on the front page, or one of the pages.
I can link to my other sites from here. But Mom knows about those. So I can't link to this site from those. This and those. That and these. Whoops.. got off on a tangent, there... Anyway, every once in a while someone posts a comment to one of those sites and mentions how much they enjoy the postcard project and that's not good. i've had to edit/delete a few posts and comments. i feel bad deleting something because, heck, its not often that comments show up. and when they do, i hate to be the one that has to zap them. oh well. Haven't heard from Mom in a day or two. I may call her later this morning.
Anna in Jiangsu, China made my day when she asked: Can I write to her in Chinese?Beth replies: THAT WAS ME!!! THAT WAS MEEE!!!! LOL I was the one that sent your mother a business card and letter stating that she should scrapbook...I'm a Scrapbook Instructor and own an independent business with a company called Leaving Prints! ...I'm excited for her and can't wait to hear more about the albums! Thanks, Beth. You're the one that just made it harder for me to steal the evidence... heh... Added to the gallery today will be submissions from Julie and Lisa. Julie is sending Mom a recipe box, pictured there. She says to tell everyone that 4x6 cards work best but 3x5s will fit nicely, also. Kim says: I think this is one of the greatest games ever. My boss and his sister play a similar one where they have letters postmarked by friends all over and send them to each other. Such fun. I am also from MO and just moved to MD. I wish you fun. (And blaming your brother is great - I will try to get military personnel involved as well, there are a lot of those here). Bonus points for Kim! And lastly, Linnea freaks me out with this question: I don't know if this would be too over the top, so I figured I should ask your opinion - I'm trying to find a recipe for human flesh that I could copy out and then mention that beef tastes good in place of the human. I dunno if beef would even work (I'm a vegetarian and don't know much about meat), but what do you think? Err... umm... no. Postcard Project Update - Tuesday, March 02, 2004
Mom called me this morning and told me that she received ten pieces of what she called Celeste mail yesterday.
"Celeste mail"? I asked. "Yeah. These people know me on a first name basis now," she replied. "How weird," my usual response. "I also got a piece of mail that mentioned Kevin, and it was from Florida," Mom said. "Oh really?" as I laughed aloud. "He's slipping up on his mail, isn't he?" I asked... This is fun. She also mentioned that she received another sympathy card. Please do not send any more sympathy cards. Postcard Project Update - Monday, March 01, 2004
Kai in Texas says: MY mom would die a horrible slow agonzing death by paranoia if I did this to her...
And Leonore in Sacramento asks: I guess there isn't any way for you to find out how many responses she's getting without blowing your cover....? Not really. I get an email every time someone new requests her address, so I have all of those, about 600 or so. The only way to truly know who is actually sending her stuff is to go see it for myself, which I plan to do next weekend. |
