Postcard Project Update - Thursday, July 15, 2004
Want to help out our little prank? I've created a few buttons that you can add to your website/blog.
If you can, save these graphics and upload them to your own server. Then link them to http://www.postcardsformom.com. If you cannot do that (for example, blogspot users), use this code: Replace the x in pcfmbuttonx with the number of the graphic you like. Here they are, labeled:
Postcard Project Update - Wednesday, July 14, 2004
I've rebuilt the Gallery and reinstated the original pictures of stuff that my Mom had received. I have two albums full of stuff that Mom received, and I'll do my best to scan them in over the next few weeks.
If you have emailed me something that you've either sent to Betty or received from her, and you do not see it in the gallery, please send me a scathing email and I'll go find your original message. I haven't deleted them, but have admittedly gotten (yeah, gotten) a little behind. If you are sending something to Betty soon (such as, maybe, a button), and you have a scanner, scan it and zip it over to me. I promise to have it online within six months... err... i mean a few days... Postcard Project Update - Tuesday, July 13, 2004
Mom did call to tell me that "they" are sending buttons now. I said "Hey, at least it's not cinder blocks." She gasped and said "Dear God! Bite your tongue!" I haven't heard much since the weekend of the 4th. Since last month is the last month -- let's brainstorm (1) How to tell Mom and (2) What next month's item should be.
Also, we need to liven it up around here a little. Let's all (1) send the site to 5 new people and ask them to send it along too. With all the darn e-mail chain letters out there we could start one that's fun. (2) Call your local radio station or e-mail your local paper and see if they'll do a story. Mom reads the Baltimore Sun. E-mail them and see if we can get them to do an article about the prank. http://www.sunspot.net |
